Originality check and ethical policies

The Editorial Board of Pensamiento Numinal uses Turnitin to check the originality of articles. Although a maximum of 15% similarity is allowed to consider a manuscript as original, up to 20% of previously published content is allowed if it is part of partial results within the same field of knowledge, respecting the moral rights of the authors. If a manuscript has a high similarity index, the authors will be notified and provided with a detailed report. Their comments will be requested in order to reduce the similarity. If the suggestions are not met, the manuscript will be withdrawn for plagiarism and the authors will be penalized with a five-year ban from submitting articles to the journal.

Multiple publication and self-plagiarism

It is not permitted to publish several manuscripts describing the same research in different languages or journals, as this is considered self-plagiarism.

Unethical conduct

In the event of suspicion or detection of bad practices, such as manipulation of citations, falsification of data or non-compliance with the good ethical practices established by the journal and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), we will proceed in accordance with the specific guidelines for each case.
