Theoretical and Practical Challenges of Educational Guidance as a Quality Factor in Holistic Education

Abstract
Introduction: Educational guidance has established itself as an essential component of contemporary education systems by promoting the holistic development of individuals. Objective: To analyze the theoretical and practical challenges of educational guidance as a factor in the quality of holistic education. Method: A literature review was conducted based on a critical synthesis of theoretical frameworks and recent research findings. Results: Epistemological tensions related to its conceptual, methodological, and professional boundaries were identified, as well as challenges linked to guidance intervention and the training of specialists. Conclusion: Educational guidance should be regarded as a strategic discipline to strengthen the quality of educational processes from a preventive, inclusive, and transformative perspective.
